Check out www.achasta.com for details on the Southern Living Idea House Decorated for the Holidays, October 24 - December 20.

Due to the tremendous popularity of the 2009 Southern Living Idea House, Achasta and Southern Living are pleased to announce the house will continue to welcome visitors through December. Originally scheduled to close October 18, the house will remain open for tours through December 20, complete with holiday decor. The Southern Living Idea House at Achasta has been one of the most successful show homes in the 26-year history of the program. To date, the house has welcomed over 14,000 guests.

The house will be decorated in holiday splendor by Atlanta’s award-winning and nationally-recognized Carithers Florist. Returning to offer expertise in the classic southern design of the house will be Atlanta-based interior designer Mallory Mathison.

The show home's wooded, mountain-top setting is so inviting that the added holiday decorations are merely the icing on the cake. The view as the trees take on fall color sets the stage for celebration. “I love how the Hemlock Springs Southern Living Idea House is sited to take advantage of the gorgeous north Georgia mountains,” said Eleanor Griffin, editor in chief of Southern Living. “What a wonderful vista to watch the southern seasons change.”
