Tennessee Best Towns

Most people stay put when they retire, or just move out to a small town within 100 miles of where they have lived. I think that is especially true in a beautiful state like Tennessee.  TN will also be very attractive to retirees from other states.

Blount Couty - Maryville, Cumberland County, areas surrounding Nashville, Chatanooga TN are all good places to retire to.

Texas Retirement Towns

Many people stay in the same house and area when they retire or just move to a small town within 90 miles of where they have lived.  If that is the case, then Texas is bound to be a huge state for retirement. 

Aransas County, Brewster County, Kendall County, Henderson County - Cedar Creek Lake, Gillespie County, Hays County, Williamson County, Montgomery County TX - Lake Conroe areas, Burnett County, Hidalgo County, Comal County, Trinity County all are retirement spots in Texas.

California’s Best Towns

Most people stay put when they retire, or just move out to a small town within 100 miles of where they have lived.  If that is the case, then California is and will be a huge retirement state.

Amador County, the Monterey Peninsula, Nevada County, Orange County, Mariposa County, San Luis Obispos County, San Diego’s North County, Madera County, Palm Springs and Riverside County, Butte County - Paradise, Santa Barbara area, Sonama County - Santa Rosa, Tuolumne County, and San Bernardino County CA.  These areas are prime areas for folks to retire.
